Dr. Shakina Dunbar Rawlings, a native of Arlington, VA, is a dynamic leader with extensive experience in ministry, education, and business. Her academic achievements include a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from George Mason University, a Master of Divinity from Howard University, and a Doctor of Ministry from United Theological Seminary.

 

Since 2015, alongside her husband, Deacon Dawud Rawlings, Dr. Rawlings has pastored Kingdom Church, which has campuses in Maryland and Virginia. As the visionary behind S.D. Rawlings Enterprise, Dr. Rawlings leads a consulting firm specializing in leadership training, staffing solutions, administrative services, organizational development, and executive coaching. Additionally, she founded Shakina Rawlings, LLC, a platform dedicated to ministry and apparel, and Jireh’s Place, a non-profit organization that equips youth aged 3-21 with essential life skills. Dr. Rawlings is also the author of her inaugural e-book, "Empowering You to Be," a seven-day devotional that inspires individuals to embrace their divine purpose unapologetically.

Dr. Shakina Dunbar Rawlings has earned widespread recognition for her contributions to the community. Her recent accolades include receiving the Trailblazers Award from Nya Ann Enterprise in 2024. She has also earned widespread recognition for her contributions to the community, including being honored as the sole woman recognized by WPRS Praise 104.1 for her pastoral role in 2019. Her other awards include the Keeper of the Community Award (2018), Alexandria’s Women’s Commission Award as a “Rising Star” (2016), Arlington County Schools “Honored Citizen” Award (2015) for her work with Jireh’s Place, and the Speak Life Youth Leadership Award (2014).
